It’s that time of year again, as the Build It Awards 2019 are showcasing the very best in self build and renovation. We just need your help to crown a winner from our handpicked shortlist of exceptional homes

Every issue of Build It magazine is packed with inspirational readers’ projects, from hands-on self builders who have overcome all kinds of challenges to create their dream dwelling, through to wow factor properties achieved on impressive budgets. The fantastic range of bespoke homes you’re creating makes choosing just six out of a year of Build It issues no easy task, but after much debate here in the editorial office, the following pages show what we’ve whittled the selection down to. The winning home will be 100% decided by you, Build It magazine readers – and this year’s shortlist of properties does not disappoint.

Now we just have to wait with bated breath to find out which project you’re going to crown as the best home of 2019. Voting is now open and you can choose your favourite on the Build It website up until 7th November. You can also vote in the Best Architect/designer categories; the shortlist will be released on 4th October.

All the Build It Awards 2019 category winners will be announced at the gala ceremony on the evening of 29th November – check out @Builditmagazine on Twitter for live coverage on the night.
