Border Oak recently purchased The White House, a Georgian cottage with outbuildings and six acres of grounds in an edge-of-village location, just six miles from the market town of Ludlow.
The land is separate to the main house and garden, and within the council’s development boundary, so it’s an ideal opportunity for new bespoke homes that fit in with the community. Border Oak has designed a scheme – based on our award-winning project at Mortimer Meadow – for six fully-serviced self and custom build plots, plus a pair of semi-detached cottages (to meet local housing need). There will be a mix of house styles to reflect the village location, from three-bed cottages to four-bed homes.
Detailed planning permission was approved in January 2020, but each purchaser will be able to revise their individual scheme via Border Oak’s design services. Our expert team will guide buyers on the site’s planning situation and the most appropriate redesign options, before undertaking all the work to gain consent on their behalf – including reports, drawings and topographical surveys. We will also provide all the infrastructure, master landscaping and plot boundary treatments (native hedging).
