Cases heard recently before Southern Derbyshire magistrates:
AMY Brigdon, 30, of Tunnel Close, Woodville. Admitted assaulting a woman in Woodville on January 7. Made the subject of a 12-month community order with 120 hours’ unpaid work. Ordered to pay £250 compensation, £85 court courts and a £85 victim surcharge.
Brandon Griffin, 22, of James Road, Burton. Admitted stealing steak worth £15.48 from Woodville Service Station on January 30. Also admitted breaching a conditional discharge. Fined £120 and ordered to pay £15.48 compensation, £85 court courts and a £85 victim surcharge.
Ionut Ispas, 34, of Napier Street, Burton. Admitted driving a Mercedes in High Street, Burton, on May 27, with 112mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg. Made the subject of a 12-month community order with 120 hours’ unpaid work Ordered to pay £250 compensation, £85 court courts and a £85 victim surcharge. Banned from driving for 27 months.
Joel Geoghegan, 24, of Bernard Street, Burton. Found guilty of assaulting a police officer in the execution of his duty, in Burton, on March 10.
Found guilty of intending to cause a man harassment, alarm or distress by using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, in Burton, on March 10. Admitted possession of cannabis. Made the subject of a community order with a rehabilitation activity requirement. Ordered to pay £100 compensation, fined £120, £620 court costs and a £85 victim surcharge.
