Village stages candlelight procession
TO mark 100 years since the end of the First World War, a Derbyshire parish council is organising a candlelight procession that takes place today at 6pm.
The procession will start at Lea Primary School, Church Street, Holloway, and finish at the Florence Nightingale Memorial Hall on Yew Tree Hill, where refreshments will be provided.
Two hundred LED candles will be provided at the start of the event, and people are urged to get there for 5.50pm.
Dethick, Lea and Holloway Parish Council is hoping for a good turnout and has urged residents to support the procession.
It also says real candles are now allowed.
