YOU WOULDN'T LET IT LIE

REEVES AND MORTIMER RETURN WITH ANOTHER BIG NIGHT OUT, FULL OF INSPIRED INSANITY

-

WITHIN minutes of this new series starting, Vic Reeves has a banana on his head and Bob Mortimer seems to have an affliction that causes him to lick his own shoulder.

Yes, this is utterly bonkers, with non-stop mischief and mayhem from the double act that will immediately remind you of their shows that entertained us throughout the 1990s.

Shimmying on to the stage with a lively song and dance routine, this original series promises sketches, ridiculous fights and stunts, as well as some eye popping special (and not so special) effects.

Vic reveals his never-before-seen circus skills and impressionist abilities while Bob makes a very revealing confession to a reverend who might be hiding a secret himself.

Later they are interrupted by ‘Tom Cruise’ who appears to be performing a stunt just up the road but seems to be more interested in what these pair are up to in the studio.

Fans will rejoice at the return of Novelty Island and the contestants will certainly not disappoint anyone tonight. Graham Lister performs with his rather clever rescue owl ‘Beaky’, there is a very unusual act from a singing cowboy and Bill Decker demonstrates his unusual animal impersonation skills.

Midway through the show our hosts decide to take a well-earned supper break which leaves them feeling rather mellow, before they reveal the celebrity secrets held within the exclusive Sandwich Club.

And the show closes with the uplifting song ‘You Can Do It’ – which proves anything is possible.

Don’t expect any of it to make any sense.
