THE 100-year-old Swedish hard­ware store chain, which also sells home­wares and elec­tri­cal items, has an­nounced plans to close all six of its UK stores with the loss of 150 jobs af­ter an op­er­at­ing profit drop of 74%.

TOO MUCH SHUTEYE

SLEEP­ING too long raises risk of heart dis­ease and dy­ing young, a study for the Pek­ing Union Med­i­cal Col­lege in China sug­gests. Sleep­ing nine to 10 hours a day raised risk by 17% and sleep­ing more than 10 hours in­creased it by 41%.
