ASPECTS is a bit of a departure for the 150-acre remembrance site based in Alrewas. The £8 million purposebuilt facility can support events for between 12 and 500 guests ranging from military reunions to conferences and banquets.

Hardy Signs, which is based off Wetmore Road, was appointed to supply and install a new signage scheme for the National Memorial Arboretum’s new events building, Aspects.

The firm was called upon to offer a full suite of custom fabricated signage, to be used both inside and outside the new venue.

The solutions combine modern and traditional natural materials, to encapsulate the concept of a ‘pavilion in the landscape.’

Tom Hardy, operations director, said: “We are particularly proud of the natural wooden elements within this signage scheme.

“Our skilled manufacturing team have used the latest technology to craft threedimensional lettering from locally sourced, rustic, raw materials in willow, alder, oak, chestnut and hornbeam – the results are stunning.”

In addition, Hardy Signs produced and successfully installed signage in glass, aluminium and stainless steel working to compliment the surrounding environment of each individual location.

The signage will help to ‘inform, educate and inspire’ through the events spaces and meetings rooms, which will provide a permanent home for the wide range of events hosted at the Arboretum each year.

Sarah Oakden, head of marketing at the National Memorial Arboretum, said: “The opening of Aspects is another landmark moment as we can now offer a contemporary events space in a stunning and inspirational location.

“Hardy Signs has once again interpreted our brief with great understanding and delivered the project to the highest quality – we’re delighted to continue to work with them as the site continues to grow.”

Nik Hardy, who is the founder and managing director of Hardy Signs, said: “The Aspects project for the Arboretum is a reflection of how national organisations have come to trust Hardy Signs to provide prestigious, bespoke signage and to deliver it with a prompt and professional service.”

In 2018, Hardy Signs celebrated 25 years in business.

The start-up launched on August 1, 1993 and has now established a nationwide reputation for its high quality products and services throughout many sectors.

It combines industry expertise with innovative technology to deliver an unrivalled signage and display service.

In addition to traditional signage, the firm also supplies digital signage.

Six years ago, it started offering a wide range of digital solutions, the fastest-growing marketing tool globally.

Over the years, it has supported local charity campaigns alongside other Burton based companies including YMCA, BAC, Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, Prostate Cancer UK, Burton Albion Community Trust and Macmillan Cancer Support.
