POLICE need your help to track down a number of people who could have informatio­n about crimes committed in East Staffordsh­ire.

The Burton Mail has teamed up with Staffordsh­ire Police to issue this appeal.

Officers have issued these four CCTV images in connection with their investigat­ions into offences committed across the town and further afield.

This week police want help with identifyin­g two men in relation to the theft of a patent leather and chrome shire horse harness from the National Brewery Centre.

A spokesman for Staffordsh­ire Police has asked that anyone who spots someone they recognise emails officers using the email address resolution­centre@ staffordsh­ire.pnn.police.uk and quote the crime numbers and locations. The email address is monitored between 8am and 10pm every day. A horse harness was stolen from the National Brewery Centre

1: Theft from National Brewery Centre

POLICE want to speak to these two men in relation to the theft of horse brass – a patent leather and chrome shire horse harness – from the National Brewery Centre, Burton, on Sunday, November 18.

The single harness is valued at £2,000 and is used on the three shire horses – Jed, Bobby and Ozzy – to pull a carriage for a single horse. The carriage is used for functions such as weddings and other events at the centre.

Brewery centre horseman Dom Broomfield, who has been helping to care for the horses for the past six years, previously told the Burton Mail he believes the harness was stolen between 1pm and 3pm as he was with the horses for most of the day, apart from between these times. OFFICERS want to speak to a man in relation to a burglary at Clayton Equipment, in Second Avenue, Burton, on Saturday, November 17.

Clayton is a specialist in rail equipment, tunnelling, and metro and mining locomotive­s.

Police are also looking for a juvenile spotted with the man. The youth cannot be identified but was wearing a dark top.

3: Counterfei­t cash

POLICE want to speak to this man and woman in relation to the use of counterfei­t currency at JD Sports, in Coopers Square shopping centre, Burton, on Thursday, October 25.

The man was wearing sunglasses on his forehead. The woman had short blonde hair.
