STAR WARS: AGE OF REBELLION: PRINCESS LEIA #1

IT’S a big year for Star Wars fans, as the final part of the saga prepares to hit the big screen. This comic series, Age of Rebellion, goes back to the first trilogy – with Han Solo frozen in carbonite, and resting in Jabba the Hutt’s palace. Disguising herself, Leia has to prove herself to the bounty hunter Bosskk to protect her new identity, and to rescue Han.

This is just one of a series of special one-shot comics written by Greg Pak, which tell tales from the time of the Galactic Civil War.

Look out for a Grand Moff Tarkin storyline, and an Age of Rebellion Special, featuring Yoda and other Star Wars favourites.

Star Wars: Age of Rebellion: Princess Leia #1, priced £3.35 is out now.

MARVEL’S PHASE FOUR

ENDGAME won’t just be wrapping up the storyline started 10 years ago in Iron Man, it will also be drawing to a close phase three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Phase Four begins later this year with Spider-Man: Far From Home, but there’s exciting casting news doing the rounds for another phase four movie – The Eternals.

The Hollywood Reporter is saying that Silicon Valley star Kumail Nanjiani (above) is being eyed for a major role in the Chloé Zhao-directed movie.

The oscar-nominated writer and actor would join Angelina Jolie, who will be playing Sersi.

I AM AVATAR?

FAST and Furious star Vin Diesel (right) has joined the cast of James Cameron’s new Avatar movie. Diesel, who voices Groot in the Guardians of Galaxy movies, revealed on Instagram that he has joined the sequel in an undisclosed role.

Grinning at fans in a short video he posted, Diesel says: “There is one person in Hollywood I’ve always wanted to work with and learn from. Where is he?”

James Cameron, standing next to him laughs: “We’re going to give him the flashy thing from Men In Black when he leaves here so he has no memory whatsoever of what he’s seen ‘cause he can not carry the tale.”

Avatar 2 is due in cinemas in December 2020.
