Desserts to die for on cafe’s menu

A Burton cafe is sweetening up its menu with tasty desserts.

The Hideaway Cafe, in new Street, will still be serving its usual items, but on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings customers will be able to order waffles, cookie dough, crepes and milkshakes.

Customers are able to collect from 5pm to 11pm or get the treats delivered to their doorsteps.

owner rebecca Thomas, 47, said: “During the period where cafes were not allowed to open, it gave me time to think about different ideas.

“You have to be able to adapt and look into different ways of enhancing your business and I feel this new idea has the potential to become a permanent fixture.”
