County’s 10 priciest properties of 2020
DERBYSHIRE is full of sweeping countryside and gorgeous scenery, with a host of stunning properties to match.
But some of the homes in the county stand out from the rest – and have sold for big money.
They range from vintage period properties to modern mansions.
And, according to the Land Registry, 19 of them sold for more than £1 million in 2020.
Topping the list was The Kirkstyles, Belper, which cost its new owners more than £2 million.
The five-bedroom period house came with a roof terrace, gym and an orangery, as well as 12 acres of land in the Amber Valley.
Across the country, over half a million home sales have been registered for 2020, Derbyshire Live writes.
Prices ranged from an eye-watering £44,278,490 for a flat in Mulberry Square, London, to just £15,000 for a property in Sunderland.

Quarters Farm, Hazlebadge, Bradwell, Hope Valley, S33 9HX, which is a detached house, sold for £2,020,000 on March 10 (This sale may have been a buy-to-let, a transfer to a company, or a repossession) 150A Burley Lane, Quarndon, DE22 5JS, which is a detached house, sold for £1,453,000 on November 24.
Manor Farm, Rakes Road, Mon- yash, Bakewell, DE45 1JL, which is a detached house, sold for £1,365,000 on June 8.
Sherwood, Main Road, Nether Padley, Hope Valley, S32 2HE, which is a detached house, sold for £1,350,000 on March 6.
The Vicarage, Vicarage Lane, Ashford In The Water, Bakewell, DE45 1QN, which is a detached house, sold for £1,350,000 on July 15.
Ashton Close Farm, Snelston, Ashbourne, DE6 2DL, which is a detached house, sold for £1,275,000 on February 21.
Hearthstone House, Hearthstone Lane, Riber, Matlock, DE4 5JW, which is a detached house, sold for £1,268,000 on March 6.
The Cedars, Hilltop, Breadsall, Derby, Erewash, DE21 4TJ, which is a detached house, sold for £1,250,000 on September 30 (This sale may have been a buy-to-let, a transfer to a company, or a repossession).
