WOOSNAM AND DAVIES NEWS
THE DYNAMIC team at Woosnam and Davies News in Llanidloes, Powys, battled around the clock to provide vital provisions for people living in isolated communities.
In the pandemic, Ian Woosnam, 56, and wife Trudy Davies, 57, called in their children Sarah and Matthew to help maintain a five-star service. “I am incredibly proud of Mum and Dad for all the hard work they’ve done,” says Sarah, 20, who nominated them for the award.
“They were taking 80 orders a day for eggs, milk, bread and the basics, delivering to the community roughly within a ten-mile radius.”
Trudy launched a scheme for making face masks for hospitals and there were free cuppas for key workers. “My parents are an inspiration,” says Sarah.
