Food firm is set to take on 50 extra staff

LEADING food manufacturer Greencore is set to hire 50 new staff at its modern distribution depot on the Core 42 Business Park in Tamworth.

Greencore’s direct to store distribution network has increased in recent years and this growth has accelerated as lockdown eases and people are becoming more mobile.

Distribution hub depot manager Eamonn Boland said: “We’re excited to take on new warehouse operatives, delivery drivers and LGV drivers at our distribution hub in Tamworth. The depot serves food retailers and food service outlets in the region and we are delighted to be in the position to recruit so many new starters to our team.”
