1 COLLATERAL Tonight, ITV, 10.55pm

Cab driver Max (Jamie Foxx) is almost obsessed with making sure his passengers get from A to B on time, while dreaming of owning his own fleet of limousines. One night, he picks up Vincent (Tom Cruise), an enigmatic guy who appears to have more money than sense. He’s willing to splash the cash while making several stops over several hours. What Max later realises, to his horror, is that Vincent is a contract killer planning on making him his last victim. When it comes to producing slick thrillers, few directors do it better than Michael Mann. He’s on top form here, getting the best out of Cruise and Foxx.

2 THE DUCHESS Tomorrow, BBC2, 9pm

In the mid-18th century, 17-year-old social butterfly Georgiana Spencer (Keira Knightley, left) is married to the much older Duke of Devonshire (Ralph Fiennes). His indifferen­ce to his wife leads Georgiana to search for happiness in the arms of rising politician Charles Grey (Dominic Cooper), leading to misery for all concerned.

3 NAKED Monday, Film4, 11.20pm

In this comedy-drama, Mancunian drifter Johnny (David Thewlis, left) steals a car and travels to London, where he takes refuge at the home of old girlfriend Louise (Lesley Sharp). He seduces her flatmate (Katrin Cartlidge) then hits the streets, meeting a couple of Scots drifters as well as a shy cafe worker housesitti­ng for some gay friends.

4 GRAVITY Tuesday, BBC1, 8.35pm

Sandra Bullock, left, and George Clooney head the cast of this Oscar-winning sci-fi drama. She plays medical engineer Dr Ryan Stone, who journeys into space alongside Commander Matt Kowalski (Clooney), a veteran of the space programme on his final mission. Space debris destroys the craft, leaving Stone and Kowalski adrift.

5 THE HATE U GIVE Wednesday, Film4, 9pm

Adapted from Angie Thomas’s young adult novel, The Hate U Give is an emotionall­y charged drama that rages against racial division and police violence in 21st-century America. Amandla Stenberg, left, plays 16-year-old Starr Carter, who witnesses a white police officer shoot dead her unarmed childhood friend Khalil (Algee Smith).

6 WILDE Thursday, BBC4, 10.55pm

The biopic focuses on the life of acclaimed wit Oscar Wilde (Stephen Fry, left), who carried out clandestin­e affairs with men at a time when homosexual­ity was illegal. Disaster strikes when he falls for the spoilt, handsome Lord Alfred Douglas (Jude Law), who doesn’t seem to know the meaning of the word discreet.

7 A SIMPLE FAVOUR Friday, BBC1, 10.35pm

Single mum and food blogger Stephanie (Anna Kendrick, left) strikes up a friendship with PR director Emily (Blake Lively). When Emily asks Stephanie to pick up her son from school while she deals with an emergency, Stephanie gladly obliges. The publicist never returns and Stephanie turns amateur sleuth to unravel the mystery
