Wearing masks should remain mandatory

-

WE were told at the start of the pandemic masks were irrelevant, later we were told that masks were imperative, now with cases rising we are told that come July 19, it’s your choice.

It’s little wonder we have so much confusion over Government directives – the rules are changed according to status, and the science according to political whim.

Of course, the reality is that in the first instance it was to do with supply and later it was common sense. Now it seems that it’s to do with politics. We were told Government policy was to follow the science, now it seems to do with following the money. Wearing masks should remain mandatory for a long time if we are to beat this bug as I’m sure that Covid-19 won’t suddenly go away on July 19.
