A covert police unit has – for the first time – allowed cameras to film a secret operation hunting a human trafficking gang.

Film-makers have been working with the undercover officers for three years, tracking an organised crime group as they traffic women from South America to work as prostitutes in UK brothels.

Filmed in Brazil, the UK and Europe, the series provides a glimpse into a hidden side of policing and we meet the women who’ve been exploited to pay for the lavish lifestyle of controlling criminals.

In this first episode, the police unit is tipped off after a package of documents is posted anonymously through the door of a police station in the middle of the night.
