Kaikai signs for Wycombe after Blackpool departure

-

WYCOMBE Wanderers have signed winger Sullay Kaikai, who left Blackpool in the summer.

The 25-year-old joins the Chairboys on a two-year deal.

The Sierra Leone international was in and out of the Blackpool side on their way to promotion from League One last season, while Wycombe are back in the division after a season in the Championship.

“Sullay is a fantastic talent and exactly the type of player who will get fans off their seats,” said manager Gareth Ainsworth.

“He’s always impressed me when

I’ve seen him play and his experience with Blackpool last year makes him an ideal character to bring into our squad.”

Kaikai started his career as a 15-year-old with Crystal Palace and spent nine years with them between 2010 and 2019.

He had loans with Crawley Town, Cambridge United, Shrewsbury Town, Brentford and Charlton Athletic before leaving Palace in January 2019 to join NAC Breda in Holland.

He played only six times there, only one of them a start, before joining Blackpool in the summer of 2019. He played 68 times for Blackpool across two seasons, scoring 13 goals and played for them in both games against Burton Albion last season.
