Cases heard recently before Derbyshire and Staffordsh­ire magistrate­s’ courts

■■Philip Webb, 41, of Talbot Street, Church Gresley, found guilty of driving a Mercedes on the A50 Sudbury on October 1, without due care and attention. He has been fined £210, ordered to pay £120 court costs and a £34 victim surcharge. His licence has been endorsed with three points.

■■Helena Stanier, 32, of Church Street, Uttoxeter, was convicted of three charges of assaulting a police officer in Rugeley on July 5. She was also convicted of driving a Renault Twingo in Rugeley on July 5 with 75 microgramm­es of alcohol in 100 millilitre­s of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgramm­es. She has also been convicted of assaulting two people in Rugeley on the same day. She has been given a 24-month community order with an alcohol rehabilita­tion requiremen­t. She has been ordered to pay £500 compensati­on, £135 court costs and a £95 victim surcharge. She was banned from driving for 22 months.

■■Wakeel Munir, 23, of Uxbridge Street, Burton, was convicted of driving a vehicle in Uxbridge Street, Burton, on January 6, while using a handheld phone. He has been fined £220, ordered to pay £90 court costs and a £34 victim surcharge. His licence has been endorsed with six points.

■■Vince Paul, 56, of Derby Road, Derby, admitted damaging an iphone belonging to a woman in Hilton, on June 27. He also admitted assaulting the same woman. He has been given a six-week jail sentence suspended for 12 months. He has been ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £128 victim surcharge.
