Cases heard recently before Derbyshire and Staffordshire magistrates’ courts
■■Philip Webb, 41, of Talbot Street, Church Gresley, found guilty of driving a Mercedes on the A50 Sudbury on October 1, without due care and attention. He has been fined £210, ordered to pay £120 court costs and a £34 victim surcharge. His licence has been endorsed with three points.
■■Helena Stanier, 32, of Church Street, Uttoxeter, was convicted of three charges of assaulting a police officer in Rugeley on July 5. She was also convicted of driving a Renault Twingo in Rugeley on July 5 with 75 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. She has also been convicted of assaulting two people in Rugeley on the same day. She has been given a 24-month community order with an alcohol rehabilitation requirement. She has been ordered to pay £500 compensation, £135 court costs and a £95 victim surcharge. She was banned from driving for 22 months.
■■Wakeel Munir, 23, of Uxbridge Street, Burton, was convicted of driving a vehicle in Uxbridge Street, Burton, on January 6, while using a handheld phone. He has been fined £220, ordered to pay £90 court costs and a £34 victim surcharge. His licence has been endorsed with six points.
■■Vince Paul, 56, of Derby Road, Derby, admitted damaging an iphone belonging to a woman in Hilton, on June 27. He also admitted assaulting the same woman. He has been given a six-week jail sentence suspended for 12 months. He has been ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £128 victim surcharge.
