■■The very smart Beaverbrook Town House will be opening its doors in London’s Sloane Street next month as two Georgian townhouses have been reimagined to create the 14 luxury-roomed hotel, with each named after a London Theatre.
The Town House is the smaller sister of Surrey’s Beaverbrook Hotel. Antiques and artworks abound, as does colour and vibrant wallpapers in the Art Decoinspired hotel.
It feels distinctly intimate and welcoming thanks to small touches such as help-yourself whisky decanters, tea stations and a little snug library.
On site is a Japanese restaurant, the Fuji Grill and Omakase Sushi Bar.
From £400 per night, two sharing, room only.
