Open gardens are returning next month

PEOPLE in Repton can look forward to the return of an annual open gardens scheme next month.

The Open Gardens Weekend will take place onjune 18 and 19, after a two-year absence due to the pandemic.

Programmes, priced at £5 per person, will be available at the Church Lychgate, the Village Hall and in the gardens throughout the weekend.

The event will begin with a concert given by pupils of Foremarke School in St Wystan’s Church on Friday, June 17. Tickets, priced at £7.50 (to include a glass of prosecco or elderflower presse), will be available in the church beforehand or may be bought on the door from 6.30 pm. Garden programmes and prize draw tickets (for locally donated prizes) will also be available.

Also returning next month is Milton Open Gardens. This event will take place on June 12, and visitors will be able to enjoy refreshments in the village hall.
