Fast-food eatery unveils a new look
CUSTOMERS at a South Derbyshire Mcdonald’s have been getting used to its new look after it closed for a two-week refurbishment.
The Swadlincote branch in Belmont Street reopened on Wednesday.
One noticeable difference is a dedicated collection entrance and area for Mcdelivery couriers (left) that will help to avoid congestion in the restaurant, as well as a new front counter.
Last year, the Swadlincote branch, which has been open for around 20 years, was granted permission by South Derbyshire District Council to open longer each day, giving diners more time to stop by. The opening hours allowed were extended by an hour on either side, meaning it can now open from 6am to midnight.
However, the permission has only been granted for a limited time. It will expire on October 27, 2023, and the hours will revert back to 7am to 11pm.
