1961:
Tottenham Hotspur became the first team in the 20th century to win the League and FA Cup double when they beat Leicester City 2-0 in the FA Cup final at Wembley.
1988:
Worcestershire’s Graeme Hick set a 20th-century record by scoring 405 runs in a single innings against Somerset at Taunton. The mark was eclipsed by West Indies batsman Brian Lara, who hit 501 for Warwickshire against Durham in 1994.
