Bolton in to pick up Iredale
AS was the case last year, Bolton Wanderers are one of the first League One clubs to move in the summer transfer market.
They have announced the signing of defender Jack Iredale, whose contract is up with Cambridge United.
Iredale was promoted with the U’s in 2020-21 – alongside Bolton – and played 44 times as they finished in a creditable mid-table place this season.
Bolton manager Ian Evatt expects his side to push for promotion next season and said: “This is a great start to what we want to do this summer in terms of adding to the squad.
“Jack is a player we’ve been keen on for a while and a proven performer at League One level, who we believe can also operate higher.
“He is a talented defender and technically very good who will add to what we already have and we look forward to working with him next season and beyond.”
