Retirement puts popular eatery on the market

A THRIVING business in East Staffordsh­ire is up for sale as the current owner looks to retire.

KOHI Noor, in Queen Street, Uttoxeter, is on the market and is open to offers over £500,000.

It is being sold by Abode Sales and Lettings as a freehold commercial premises, which describes the premises as “versatile accommodat­ion” with a restaurant seating area for around 70 guests.

On the ground floor it has the restaurant, an entry hallway, a reception area, and a commercial kitchen.

Upstairs is a landing, a function room area, women’s and men’s toilets and two large store rooms with a further toilet. The estate agent said: “The property benefits from having double glazing throughout, gas central heating (2x boilers), mains water and electric.

“An allocation to park vehicles is allowed, providing there is custom from the existing business for eating or takeaways. The premises has been a thriving business, run by the same owner for over 50 years and only selling the property due to retirement.”

The estate agent adds the venue has a rateable value of £14,000 and is eligible for retail, hospitalit­y, leisure relief on business rates. It states that the building has a versatile use subject to planning approval.

Kohi Noor has proved a hit with its customers who rated it on Tripadviso­r with a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 101 reviews. It was placed at 15 out of 35 for restaurant­s in Uttoxeter. Its Facebook page describes it as “The best and longest serving Indian and Bangladesh­i restaurant in Uttoxeter.”
