- By MAIL REPORTER editorial@burtonmail.co.uk

THE Swadlincote Festival of Transport is back this weekend and is celebrating its 10th year in style by returning to its town centre location after having moved to another venue last year.

There will be many unique and wonderful cars from across the globe at tomorrow’s event, and the chance to meet the collectors who spend their lives restoring vehicles to their original glory.

It promises to be a great family day out, with more than 30 trophies to be handed out, plus live entertainment, stalls, stands, fair rides, activities, food and drink and much more.

It all takes place on the Delph and in Swadlincote town centre from 10am to 4pm, moving back to its original location having been hosted at Gresley Old Hall last September.

Classic car enthusiasts will be able to find original wares to buy and sell but it is not just an auto jumble. There will also be stalls selling unique pottery, object d’art, models, clothing and varied cuisine and sugary treats to take away.

Past events have attracted more than 200 exhibitors and over 1,000 visitors during the day

The Swadlincote Festival of Transport is a popular event in the town’s calendar, so we’ve had a look back through our archives.
