Music shows coming up at Conkers

CONKERS in the National Forest is hosting a range of bands and performers this summer for a variety of music fans.

The programme includes tributes to some of the world’s biggest and most popular music stars, including Michael Jackson, Robbie Williams, Jersey Boys, Elton John, Pink, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Abba, U2 and Whitney Houston.

The line-up of acts playing at CONKERS this summer includes: ■■Ultimate Elton and The Rocket Band – Saturday, June 11: Rapidly established as the foremost Elton John tribute act in the UK, Ultimate Elton and The Rocket Band present an uncannily accurate reproduction of the classic live shows.

■■Total 80s Music Night – Saturday, June 18: It’s time to back comb that hair and slip on the shell suit as we take you back to the 80s with r favourite hits from artists such as Wham!, Madonna, Spandau Ballet, A-HA, Cyndi Lauper and many more ■■The Retro Rock Show – Saturday, July 2: A two-hour extravaganza of the greatest rock songs and power ballads of the 70s, 80s and 90s. Classics will be performed by a fivepiece band of the finest rock musicians.
