BIRTH OF BABY ADALIA MAKES MATRIARCH ANN, 78, A GREAT-GREAT-GRAN
FOUR women are celebrating a rare phenomenon as they welcome the fifth generation of their family.
The Willdays, the Lightfoots and the Towners have welcomed Adalia Khawaja into the fold.
She was born on January 27 to 18-year-old Jaiden Willday.
In order from the youngest, we have Adalia and her mum Jaiden Willday, her mother 36-year-old Nicola Lightfoot, her mother Tracy Towner, 58, and, finally, matriarch Ann Willday at 78 years old – making her a very proud great-great-grandmother.
The entire family hail from Stapenhill, but the senior Mrs Willday has recently moved to Church Gresley.
Adalia’s proud great-grandfather, Martin Towner, said the family was over the moon they have reached such a special milestone.
He said: “I love it because it is so rare when it happens.
“Ann loves being a great-great grandma. She has 13 great-grandchildren so she is a busy lady.
“We are over the moon and Nicola is buzzing to be a young nan. Adalia is brilliant. I cannot leave her alone. Her and Jaiden live with me and her nan.”
