Silver anniversary for nursery
A BURTON nursery has celebrated its 25th anniversary.
It was back in 1997 that Violet Way Nursery was founded by Di Marshall. A quarter of a century on, it is
a thriving enterprise run by Our Pride Our Joy, a subsidairy company of the Fierté Multi-academy Trust.
Regional manager Sharon Shilling said on the website: “We aim to provide quality childcare for the parents and children within our communities so that parents can access wraparound care, nurseries and holiday clubs all in one place.”
Sue Blackman, who has been the nursery manager for 10 years, said the past quarter of a century had been an “amazing” time.
She added: “Over the years we have expanded and flourished.”
The nursery managed to keep its doors open during the coronavirus pandemic to support the families of key workers.
