Play area at reservoir gets a makeover

-

THE play area at a reservoir has been given an £80,000 upgrade.

Additions to the equipment, at Staunton Harold Reservoir, pictured, include towers, a net, bridges, a fully accessible carousel and an Octopus seesaw.

Severn Trent said the work is part of a wider investment at its sites to improve playgrounds and accessibility.

Donna Marshall, Severn Trent senior visitor engagement officer, said: “We know our sites offer a great-value day out for families and we want to ensure this continues long into the future.

“Some of our play areas were starting to age. So, we thought it was about time we upgraded them.

“We also wanted to improve our accessibility offer within our playgrounds, so have worked with suppliers to ensure a range of equipment so there is something for everyone.

“We hope families can enjoy the play area at Staunton Harold Water for many years to come, as well as those at our other wonderful visitor sites.”

Staunton Harold Reservoir is open to the public from 8.30am until 4pm.
