Blues to visit for friendly

BURTON Albion will host Sky Bet Championsh­ip side Birmingham City at the Pirelli Stadium in the first of their confirmed 2022-23 pre-season fixtures.

The Brewers will take on Lee Bowyer’s Blues and the likes of Troy Deeney, Scott Hogan and Neil Etheridge on Saturday, July 16 (2pm kick-off), with other friendlies to be confirmed in due course.

Ticket and hospitalit­y details for the Brewers’ pre-season friendlies will be confirmed in due course.

Bobby Charlton scored his 49th and last goal for England, against Colombia in Bogota, in a warm-up game for the World Cup in Mexico. His record was broken by Wayne Rooney in 2015.

1992:

Barcelona made it third time lucky as they won the European Cup, with Ronald Koeman scoring the only goal against Sampdoria at Wembley. In their previous two appearance­s in the final, the Catalan side had lost to Benfica in 1961 and Steaua Bucharest in 1986.
