RAMS RATINGS

-

JOE WILDSMITH:

Most of his work was routine in the first half as the Rams had a plan to stifle Liverpool’s creative prowess by playing a 5-4-1. Made several good saves in the second, with the one from Harvey Elliott being the pick of the bunch. 8/10

KOREY SMITH:

Had the tricky Fabio Carvalho to mark but that was a job he did with distinction. He gained confidence enough to move further up the pitch to support the attack when he could and had a decent game. 8/10

EIRAN CASHIN:

Got away with a poor touch that led to a Liverpool chance in the first half but that mistake aside, he had a fine game in the heart of the Rams defence. 8/10

CRAIG FORSYTH:

Won a couple of key headers from Liverpool corners and the Scot has been a model of consistency since moving into the back four. 8/10

HAYDON ROBERTS:

There were a couple of moments when Liverpool got down the right but not enough to spark any real concern. Worked hard throughout. 8/10

MAX BIRD:

Seemed to get more of the ball in the latter stages of the first half when the majority of it had been spent watching Liverpool in possession. Had a brilliant chance in the second half that he should have hit the target with and made a couple of key interceptions. 7/10

CONOR HOURIHANE:

Pace of the game suited him and he picked out a terrific pass that found Louie Sibley in the first half which the midfielder should have done better with. Experience told on many occasions. 7/10

NATHANIEL MENDEZ-LAING: Getting to be a regular theme of the winger being a high scorer in these ratings. He was the Rams’ best creative outlet when he had the ball and caused the Reds problems. 7/10

WILL OSULA:

Will be kicking himself after being picked out by Mendez-laing inside the Reds penalty area in the first half but his touch was a poor one. Needed to be sharper. 6/10

LOUIE SIBLEY:

Produced a peach of a cross that found Max Bird in the second half for the Rams’ best chance of the game. Couldn’t fault his endeavor, particularly as he filled in at left-back when Liverpool had the ball. 7/10

JAMES COLLINS:

In a game like this, you always knew he would be a peripheral figure in which it was all about his work off the ball. He kept plugging away. 7/10

SUBSTITUTES:

DAVID MCGOLDRICK (COLLINS 61): Produced a peach of a pass for Lewis Dobbin late on as the Rams nearly pinched a goal on the counter. 6/10

LEWIS DOBBIN (OSULA 61):

Has the pace to trouble most defenders and had a good chance at the end. 6/10

LIAM THOMPSON (MENDEZ-LAING 70):

Came on to shore things up in the middle. 6/10

JAKE ROONEY (SMITH 90):

Got his taste of the Anfield experience N/A

JASON KNIGHT (BIRD 90):

Great to see him back after injury N/A
