Woman in hospital after A38 crash
A WOMAN was hospitalised after a crash on the A38 yesterday.
The incident led to the closure of the A38 southbound near the junction for Coxbench, Little Eaton and Kilburn.
Police were notified of the incident at 11.50am. The entire carriageway was shut before one lane reopened at 1pm.
A blue hatchback appeared to have left the carriageway and was visible on the grassy slope next to the road. A second vehicle, a smaller black car, did not appear to have any major damage.
The woman’s condition is unknown but Derbyshire police said she had been taken to hospital for assessment.
