US leading world to a nuclear precipice
I’VE just read a magnificent history of the Vietnam War by the military historian Max Hastings, and I was left pondering the most important unanswered question, that equally applies to the current US involvement in Ukraine.
In the case of Vietnam, after more than three decades of US clandestine and overt involvement in Indochina, no politician, military historian, political scientist or diplomat has been able to make a logical case for what the US was doing there, and to explain adequately why exactly the US became involved; and what were the real and valid objectives of the US in Vietnam?
The very same question equally apply to US involvement in Ukraine. The question is very simple: why is the United States involved in the affairs of Ukraine and seemingly leading the world to the nuclear precipice? I really would like to know. Peter Henrick,
