Jimmy Doherty is in Sri Lanka to find out how – and why – lentils are sold split not whole, while Matt Tebbutt witnesses extraordinary anchovy fishing off the coast of Italy.

Jimmy enlists the help of chef pal Gennaro Contaldo, to find out what is so special about risotto rice and why does it cost twice as much as normal rice. Then Kate returns to investigate whether it’s OK to feed dog food to your cat, and vice versa.
