A way to make a difference

IT STARTS WITH A VISIT TO YOUR POST OFFICE…

-

THIS winter, Post Office will be looking after more than Christmas posting needs – with your help. Between November 7 and March 31, for every over-the-counter cash withdrawal it will donate 1p to the Trussell Trust to help tackle poverty and hunger.

With more than 14 million people living below the poverty line, the Post Office is looking to help those who are struggling to make ends meet in the communities it serves.

Last year the initiative raised an amazing £295k. It helped food banks in the Trussell Trust’s network of over 1,300 expand their services to include debt and housing advice, counselling and even cookery classes. This year the goal is to raise over £330k.

You can withdraw cash from your high street bank account at the Post Office to help raise funds. Around 150 branches also provide food collection points to donate items for the Trussell Trust.

Postmistress Leslie Francis says, “I can see the difference the Trussell Trust makes to customers who might have to choose between food and other essentials like toiletries. I’m delighted that I can make even more of a difference by encouraging customers to use cash withdrawal services at my branch.”

Withdraw a little cash and do a little good this winter.
