Azzopardi painting likely to sell for bags of cash
THIS original painting with bags of style by modern artist Deborah Azzopardi could sell for tens of thousands of pounds at auction.
Deborah’s colourful work capturing everyday moments has become popular over the last 35 years, and the forthright picture showing a handbag, leg and red boot is typical of her playful offerings.
Her paintings are reproduced in limited-edition prints and her originals are available only through her, making this work of art special.
It has been in a private collection for 25 years.
It will be offered in Hansons’ 20th
Century Design Auction on December 13 with an estimate of £15,000-£20,000.
Hopes are high it will spark strong bidding.
Her prints are achieving £1,000 at auction despite the fact she has never worried about creating commercially viable art.
Deborah says painting things that make her happy is essential to her.
