Borough council is recruiting staff
EAST Staffordshire Borough Council is hiring – and the jobs are based in the town centre.

Part-time cemetery officer
Where: Stapenhill Cemetery Salary: £20,812 to £21,968 per annum pro rata
About the job: As well as burial services, the cemetery team can assist in finding a relative’s grave, provide guidance on the completion of burial paperwork and is responsible for monitoring contractor performance to ensure the visual appearance of the cemetery is of the highest standard.
This role supports the cemetery operations at a weekend and during Bank Holidays from 11.30am to 3.30pm. The successful applicant will be required to oversee burials and ensure they meet the statutory legal requirements.
Community and civil enforcement supervisor
Where: Millers Lane Depot, Burton Salary: £26,845 to £29,439 per annum pro-rata
About the job: This is an opportunity to work within a team who focuses on tackling environmental crime. The team focuses on the quality of the local environment, particularly in relation to community engagement and environmental crime issues such as dog control, litter, waste enforcement and parking.
The successful candidate will provide supervisory support and guidance to a team of front-line officers and participate in the gathering of intelligence through initial enquiries, which will support ongoing investigations.
