Show headliners announced as boy band kings
THE SUPERGROUP BOYZLIFE WILL HEADLINE MUSIC EVENT
ANOTHER huge music act has been announced as headlining a major festival near Burton next year.
Members from chart-topping boybands Boyzone and Westlife have merged to create supergroup ‘Boyzlife,’ which is to headline the Back 2 Festival alongside fellow boyband big-hitters Blue.
The event takes place from June 30 to July 3 and will also feature the likes of nineties and noughties dancefloor fillers 911, Goldie Looking Chain, A1, Phatts and Small, Cascada and Basshunter.
The line-up so far has a collective of nine UK Number 1’s between them. Organisers say they are aiming to make the festival the biggest yet as it returns to Catton Park, in South Derbyshire, for its seventh year.
Boyzlife, which includes Brain Mcfadden and Keith Duffy, will play all the hits from both the boybands respectively, including ‘Flying Without Wings’ and ‘No Matter What.’ The duo will also perform singles from their new album ‘Old School.’
Nostalgic heavyweights Blue will also be topping the bill, following their huge 20th anniversary tour. With countless hits such as ‘All Rise’ and ‘Breathe Easy,’ as well as numerous awards under their belts, including the TMF Award for Best Breakthrough Artist/newcomer, and the Brit Award for British Breakthrough Act, Blue dominated the charts.
All Swedish singer, record producer, songwriter and DJ Basshunter is also playing. He is most popular for recording five studio albums – The Bassmachine, LOL, Now You’re Gone – The Album, Bass Generation, and Calling Time.
Another headline act down for next year is German dance trio Cascada. Best known for her hugely-popular hit ‘Evacuate The Dancefloor’ and ‘Everytime We Touch,’ it is set to be a weekend of dancing the nights away, say the organisers.
This year will also be first time there will be four stages at the festival, with two of them new for 2023. The first is called ‘The Secret Rave Arena,’ with a second unnamed stage to be led by a theme rather than music.
Tickets for the festival next year are available to buy now from the website. Day tickets are on sale from £29.99, and for a short time only, people can now book a four-night weekend camping ticket for £89.99, and a three-night ticket for £79.99.
