THE Stoke-on-trent and Staffordshire Growth Hub is bringing together a raft of business support under a new campaign, developed to help SMES in Burton get the help they need to scale up.

#Scaleinstaffs directs organisations to the comprehensive, co-ordinated opportunities available from initiatives including the Growth Hub’s Small Business Grant Scheme and the Investment Readiness Programme.

The Stoke-on-trent and Staffordshire Growth Hub has one of the most comprehensive business support packages available in the country and over the next three months, #Scaleinstaffs will showcase the opportunities available for local businesses.

As part of the campaign, a series of digital and in-person events are being held, to create a starting point for companies to begin their bespoke support journey. They’ll cover topics including digital marketing, funding, finance and legal advice.

From there, participants can find out more about the Growth Hub’s Small Business Grant Scheme, which allows SMES to grow by investing through capital expenditure on assets.

They can also tap into the Investment Readiness Programme, which supports the growth of Staffordshire SMES with funding towards professional costs in a variety of key areas, including business planning, financial projections and the preparation of a marketing strategy.

Rebecca Parker, Head of Business Growth Hub, said: “With in-house specialists and more than 120 referral partners in place, Stoke-on-trent and Staffordshire Growth Hub is well-placed to help local SMES scale up.

“#Scaleinstaffs will provide the platform to showcase the opportunities for SMES to get the business support they need.

“The campaign will give businesses the chance to identify opportunities for growth, and signpost them to the relevant support and assistance to help turn those ambitions into reality.

“There’s a wealth of support and services available to help businesses across the city and the county.

“Our qualified advisors are ideally placed to support SMES in accessing funding and investment alongside a range of service and support initiatives that focus on scale-up and job creation.

“We’d urge businesses looking to go to the next level to engage with the campaign and take the next steps towards strong, sustainable growth.”
