Plotters are set on dumbing down Brexit

-

A FEW days ago I read a story in the Telegraph about a number of Boris Johnson’s biggest fans headed by Jacob Rees Mogg meeting together in a Soho pub.

After exchanging a few texts with some friends of mine I was quick to discover that something fishy was going on. A couple of days later and all was revealed.

As I originally thought, no sooner had the plot to oust Boris and replace him with Sunak taken place than heads of the UK government were themselves plotting to dumb down Brexit.

No wonder David Cameron was advising Boris to bring back Jeremy Hunt. No wonder George Osborne has been advising Jeremy Hunt. No wonder the establishment were so keen to threaten Boris Johnson with the full wrath of the House of Commons ethics committee as soon as he had 100 signatures for a leadership contest.

The Tory Remoaners never miss a trick, do they? Maybe there’s more to this plot than meets the eye? And maybe Boris could be returning to the top job sooner than we Boris diehards could even dream of?

Readers have every right to express fury at the absurd idea of going soft on Brexit.

Boris Johnson would never have allowed such a betrayal to happen, so neither should Rishi Sunak.

What is the point of Brexit if we still can’t control our own laws and remain subject to EU laws and the bureaucracy that goes with it?

Any such move would be a betrayal of both British democracy and our regained sovereignty.
