Charity piano concert in aid of Ukraine

A DERBYSHIRE pianist is hosting a charity piano concert on Saturday at the chapel at Abbotsholme School to raise money to support aid for Ukraine.

Sudbury-based Sheena Coote and her students will be performing songs and Christmas carols, and concert pianist Aleksei Demchenko is coming to perform.

No tickets are required, but donations rare requested to raise money to support aid for Ukraine and Sheena is also hoping to raise a bit of money for a special treat for her student Lizzie, who is blind and has just been undergoing treatment for cancer - her enthusiasm for life make her a real inspiration, according to Sheena’s husband, David.

The event starts at 2.30pm and festive fancy dress is optional. There will also be a Christmas lucky dip.
