Pioneering technology introduced at walking footballer’s Burton clinic
A NEW health and wellbeing clinic that specialises in the use of pioneering technology to treat musculoskeletal conditions, such as arthritis and sporting injuries, has opened its doors at The Coach House, Manor Drive, in Burton, this November.
Founded by professional walking footballer Milan Mazic, who has just returned from winning the Six Nations Cup, Zicam Medical is the first clinic of its kind in Staffordshire to house a cutting edge Molecular Bio-physical Stimulation (MBST) machine.
The MBST device stimulates cell repair and regrowth using non-invasive technology to help people with musculoskeletal conditions such as osteoarthritis and sporting injuries to recover and live pain-free.
Inspired by his own experience of injury in the world of sport, Milan is a professional walking football player for England, and founder of the clinic.
After witnessing first-hand how MBST technology transformed his life, Milan is eager to help improve the lives of people across Staffordshire.
He explains: “I first came across MBST technology via another clinic owner and sporting industry professional based in Nottinghamshire, who also uses MBST, and I was blown away and amazed at the results.
“This treatment is completely non-invasive and pain-free, which makes it a fantastic alternative to medication and surgery, which can often be coupled with extreme side effects.”
MBST has transformed the lives of thousands of people across the world over the past 20 years and is fast becoming a therapy of choice for elite athletes and sports professionals, but also for everyday people looking for help with musculoskeletal conditions or injuries.
Milan said: “We’re extremely proud to bring this game-changing therapy to Burton-on-trent. I speak from firsthand experience when I say it is life-changing, I wouldn’t have been able to bring home the Six Nations Cup without it!”
Burton’s Zicam Medical clinic will use pioneering MBST technology to treat osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, soft tissue damage, and sports injuries.
The technology works by stimulating damaged and degenerated cartilage, bone, ligament, tendon and muscle cells to encourage repair and regrowth.
Once the cells of the affected area or injury have been sufficiently stimulated from MBST therapy, the cells will continue to grow and develop by themselves, reducing pain and enabling greater mobility.
The therapy at the clinic will be delivered alongside a course of physiotherapy to help support and speed up recovery.
