Detached housing plans for pub site
BEEN A MAGNET FOR VANDALS
A LISTING for a property based on the site of a pub that burned down on Christmas Day has been published.
Proposed plans have been created by Startin & Co to show a detached house with a detached double garage on the site of The Robin Hood pub in Bramshall, near Uttoxeter.
The pub had become a “magnet” for anti-social behaviour after it burned down on Christmas Day in 2016. However, now it is set be transformed into accommodation.
Since the pub burned down, a plan for three homes and another for two homes were both refused because the applicant “failed to demonstrate the need for housing in this out of settlement boundary location”. This led to the pub’s demolition in 2020.
Now, the site of the former pub is on the market with Aboide Sales and Lettings. Any potential buyers can park within the former car park to view the property.
A spokesperson for Abode said: “The erection of a replacement dwelling on the site of the former Robin Hood. Proposed plans have been created by Startin & Co to show a detached dwelling with detached double garage. Offers are invited for the freehold interest.
“The former Robin Hood building has been demolished and buyers can safely park within the former car park for easy viewing.”
