Can you see your GP face-to-face? Stats show what happens in area
LESS than four in 10 patients at a Burton GP surgery are being seen face-to-face, data has revealed.
New information about every surgery in East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire has been released – and Peel Croft Surgery, in Lichfield Street, conducted just 38.1 per cent of its appointments in person last month.
It comes amid increased anxieties about getting in the same room with a doctor as improvements in technology mean more consultations are held online or over the phone. Across the country as a whole, just 73.4 per cent of GP appointments took place face-toface in October.
Below are the numbers for GP surgeries in Burton, Uttoxeter and South Derbyshire. They show the percentage of their appointments taking place face-to-face.
