Adams produces unbeaten 154 to see off Storm and take Vipers into final
Georgia Adams hit the highest score of the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy to propel Southern Vipers into the final with a 32-run triumph over Western Storm.
The Vipers captain Adams followed up her 89 against Sunrisers with a superb 154 not out, despite struggling with cramp in her calf for the final third of her innings.
Elsewhere, Alice Capsey posted a superb 73 not out to lead to a six-wicket triumph over
at Chelmsford and leave their opponents without a win in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy.
The all-rounder’s energetic innings covered just 75 deliveries, including nine fours, in a matchwinning partnership of 114 with Aylish Cranstone. It gave the Stars their second victory of the tournament. Capsey performed especially well against spin, striking 50 from 52 balls, while Cranstone had reached 46 before holing out to Hayley Brown at point.
At Emerald Headingley, Eve Jones hit 77 as chased down 218 to defeat
the North Group leaders, by six wickets. Opener Jones combined with Marie Kelly (9) to contribute 123 runs inside 26 overs and claim victory with 3.2 overs to spare.
