YR EGLWYS BRESBYTERAIDD: Ni fydd Gwasanaethau eto tan ddechrau Medi. HUGH EVANS: Dearly loved husband of Dilys, passed away suddenly at home, Min-y-Don, Brynrefail, on August 2, aged 79 years. Cherished father of Marian, Euron, Einir, Bryn and the late Hughie, father in law of Meic, Alan and Kim, beloved taid of all his grandchildren, dear brother of Nellie, Glyn and Ada. Fond brother-in-law and uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Mischievous friend to many especially his work mates too many to mention. Hugh worked in the slate quarries for the majority of his life. The funeral was held at St Helen’s Church, Penisarawun, on August 10, conducted by the Rev Canon Idris Thomas, and laid to rest in the church cemetery with his young son Hughie. Bearers at the church were Danny (grandson), Meic, Alan and Dafydd, and by the graveside were his sons Euron and Bryn, grandsons Darren, Aaron, Josh, and Jake. Mourners were Dilys (wife), Euron (son), Marian and Meic, Einir and Alan (daughters and sons-in-law), Bryn and Kim (son and daughter-in-law), Carolyn, Dafydd, Donna, Simon, Darren, Aaron, Leanne, Danny, Josh, Jake and Archie bach (grandchildren), Siann Haf (greatgranddaughter). Nellie, Glyn and Ada (sisters and brother), together with sisters and brothers in law, nephews, nieces, and many, many friends, too numerous to mention. Flower tributes were sent by Dilys and Euron, Marian and Meic, Einir and Alan, Bryn, Kim and Archie Bach, Carolyn, Donna, Darren, Leanne and partners, Aaron, Danny, Josh and Jake, Siann, Eliza, Huw, Owen, Lexi, Byron, Jack, Elin, and Caio, Nellie and Jackie, Ada, Edfryn, David, Robin and families. Owen and Idris, Lynne, Jason, Steffan and Ffion, May, Robert, Arfon, Gwenda and families, Donations of £1,000 were gratefully received by family and friends in Hugh’s memory (which shows how well he was thought of) will be doanted to the Llanberis surgery. Funeral arrangements were made by Gwynfor Jones, Llanberis.
