Then come to Porthmadog library on Mondays, 10am-noon for profession­al help and advice. No need to book. Free of charge. Search for the Great Giant Peach at your local library! Competitio­n open to children aged 12 yrs and under but must be library members. Great prizes to be won. Closing date September 30.

INNER WHEEL: At the September meeting President Margaret Harrison welcomed all and then had a minute’s silence to remember Mary Knowles, who had died suddenly the previous week. The speaker was Cheryl Williams from the Alzheimer’s Society, who gave a talk about dementia. Cheryl was then presented with a cheque by the President, half of the money raised at the August street stall. Wendy Haverfield, the Internatio­nal Services Officer will send the other half to the Northern Cleft Foundation. Angela Swann read the prayer and Theresa Lampert gave the Internatio­nal toast to Athens club. The next meeting will be on Monday, October 10.

PORTHMADOG CRAFT FAIR: Saturday September 24 Held at the Y Ganolfan. A range of quality handmade crafts made by the stall holders. Starts at 9.30 and finishes at 2pm. Light refreshmen­ts available, children and wheelchair friendly. Free entry.
