MACK the Knife is back in town! National Theatre Live: The Threepenny Opera, is a darkly comic new take on Brecht and Weill’s raucous musical, and it is being broadcast live on September 22 from the National Theatre’s London stage.
Theatr Colwyn in Colwyn Bay is one of the venues that will be screening NT Live’s bold new production next Thursday, at 7pm.

The Threepenny Opera has Olivier Award-winner Rory Kinnear (Hamlet, Othello, James Bond) as Captain Macheath, (aka: Mack the Knife) alongside Rosalie Craig (As You Like It, My Family and other Animals) as Polly Peachum, Haydn Gwynne (The Windsors, Drop the Dead Donkey) as Mrs Peachum.
Peter De Jersey (Agatha Raisin, Lewis, Doctor Foster, Broadchurch) is cast in the role of Chief Inspector ‘Tiger’ Brown and George Ikediashi (West End’s La Clique, Black) as The Balladeer.

National Theatre Live was launched in June 2009, giving cinema audiences the opportunity to be a part of a live National Theatre production.
