Talk about careers at Antur stall
SOCIAL enterprise Antur Waunfawr will have a strong presence at this year’s National Eisteddfod in Bodedern, Anglesey.
Between August 4-12, Antur Waunfawr – which provides work and training opportunities for adults with learning disabilities – will have a large stall opposite the main entrance (stalls 301-303).
As well as tea and bara brith and home-made produce and crafts for sale, there will be a busy timetable of events.
There will be a careers afternoon on the stall on Tuesday, August 8, with members of staff on hand to discuss careers in the care sector at Antur.
The afternoon of August 8 with also see a visit from the Archdruid, Geraint Lloyd Owen, who will be officially opening the stall and sampling some of the homemade produce.
Antur Waunfawr is focused on providing increased health and well-being opportunities for adults with disabilities, and will host a walking football session in the sports area on Monday, August 7 (2.30pm-3.30pm), with a visit from the Wales football team’s assistant manager Osian Roberts.
There will also be an adaptive cycling session in the sports area on Tuesday, August 8 (1.30pm-2.30pm) with a range of different bikes available.
Antur’s mixed-ability choir, coached by pianist Annette Bryn Parri, will perform on the afternoon of August 9 and the morning of August 10.
