FOUR PAGES OF COMMUNITY DIARY FROM ACROSS THE REGION:
Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor girls on the Pwllheli site have gained a bit of a reputation for being strong hockey players for some time now, with several players having played for Wales in a number of tournaments over the past few years. In the academic year 2014-2015, the team represented Welsh Colleges in the British Colleges Competition, and were runners up in the same competition in 2015-16. In 2016-17, three girls were selected for the Welsh Colleges team at the British championships. Moving on to this academic year. Following their success in the Snowdonia Tournament recently, where Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor’s hockey team won the Welsh Schools’ Under 18s, the team has been asked to represent Snowdonia in the Welsh Schools competition in South Wales in March 2018. This hockey squad is doing so well that they have just invested in a smart new blue hockey kit for them, this smart new look is a good reflection of how well the team is doing.
